Gibraltar
Gibraltar is a British colony, having been ceded by Spain to England in 1713 (although sovereignty is an issue of contention between the two countries). Gibraltar has enormous historical and military significance; this was the site of the original Moorish incursions into mainland Europe in 711, and commands access to the Mediterranean Sea
Gibraltar is a unique place, complete with Macaque monkeys, its own unique Llanito language (but English is the official language) and British-style pubs.
